SIM + VOIP / PLANNED COMBINED OFFERING

One phone. A more private way to connect.

Pair burnSignal LTE connectivity with a private VoIP account. Use your SIM or eSIM for mobile data and a supported calling app for voice—bringing a separate calling number, protected connections and account control into one setup.

Discuss your setup

Your connection and your calling number, on your terms

A SIM connects your device to the mobile network. A VoIP account gives your calling app its own number and calling environment. Together, they let you use cellular data for your app calls instead of relying on ordinary carrier voice. Choose an available calling number that reflects the area you prefer, while keeping your existing personal number separate from the number you share for this service.

Add protection beyond a SIM alone

With a standalone SIM, an ordinary phone call follows the carrier voice path. With SIM + VoIP, a compatible calling app can use TLS for signaling and SRTP for audio over supported connection legs. Your account operates in an isolated calling tenant, with its own trunk and public number. These layers protect supported traffic in transit and separate your calling environment from other customer accounts. They are configured protections, not a promise of anonymity.

Call over mobile data or Wi-Fi

Use the same VoIP account on compatible cellular data or Wi-Fi. Your calling number belongs to the VoIP account rather than a particular SIM profile, giving you more flexibility in how you connect. App calls use internet connectivity; when you call over LTE, both data usage and voice charges can apply. Call quality depends on coverage, the available connection and your device.

One place to manage the whole setup

The combined offering is being designed around the burnSignal dashboard: activate your mobile profile, connect your calling app, view usage and manage prepaid credit in one account. Forwarding can help you direct incoming calls when you need a different destination. Provisioning steps, bundle pricing and the final combined purchase flow will be defined before launch; this page introduces the offering rather than opening a new checkout.

Clear boundaries build trust

TLS and SRTP protect supported links; the PBX or calling provider may terminate that encryption. A call to an ordinary telephone number can leave the protected path and is not end-to-end encrypted between participants. Cellular networks, the calling service and your device still process metadata needed to provide service. For conversations that require end-to-end encryption, both participants must use a supported end-to-end encrypted app and mode. Device security remains part of the picture.

A practical fit for a separate line or a small team

Use the combination to keep a business or secondary calling identity separate from your everyday number, or give a team a shared calling environment with individual extensions. The aim is a deliberate, manageable setup: mobile connectivity underneath, protected app calling above it, and a clear view of what each layer does. Emergency calling, device support, coverage and service terms must be confirmed for the final configuration.
